Company pays AMD 11 million for state land pollution![]() August 14, 2025 - 19:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Investigative Committee of Armenia reports that in the Lori regional investigative department, the state has been fully compensated for damages in a criminal case concerning land degradation caused by a company’s operations. According to the inspection by the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspectorate, solid waste placed by the company was carried away by water flow, contaminating 64,914 square meters of state-owned land. Damage calculations determined that the company’s activities caused 11,583,348 drams in losses, which have now been fully reimbursed. The preliminary investigation is ongoing. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan.
