Rubinyan briefs Iran’s Seputy FM on Armenia–Turkey talks![]() September 9, 2025 - 16:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 9, Deputy Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh, presenting the course of the Armenia–Turkey normalization dialogue. “Bilateral relations with friendly Iran, based on mutual respect and trust, are of great importance for Armenia. Reciprocal visits help broaden the agenda while sustaining active dialogue and close cooperation,” Rubinyan said. According to the parliament’s press service, the two sides also touched upon recent regional developments. Within the framework of normalization with Turkey, a new meeting between special representatives Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kılıç is planned in Armenia in the coming days, MFA spokesperson Ani Badalyan confirmed. Their previous meeting took place on April 11–13 during the diplomatic conference in Antalya, attended by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Rubinyan. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
