Erdogan to address Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process at UN![]() September 23, 2025 - 11:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced that he will address the advancement of the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan during his speech at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, APA reports. The statement was made during Erdoğan’s interview with Azerbaijani media. President Erdoğan is scheduled to speak at the UN General Assembly Leaders’ Summit on September 23. On August 8, a trilateral meeting was held at the White House between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Joint Declaration outlining the results of the summit. Also, in the presence of the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the U.S., Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov preliminarily signed the “Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.” The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
