We hope this agreement will contribute to long-term stability and peace in the Middle East,” the statement read. *Israel and Hamas agreed on the first phase of a peace plan involving a ceasefire, hostage release, and partial withdrawal of Israeli forces. The announcement was made by U.S. President Donald Trump and confirmed by both sides.
