In a post on his Telegram channel, Spertsyan shared a video and reflected on the emotions of representing the national side: “I’m already in Yerevan. Playing for the national team is always a special and emotional experience. We have a few days before the match against Hungary. We’ll prepare.” The 25-year-old midfielder is set to lead Armenia in two decisive matches of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification campaign, Group F. Under head coach Yeghishe Melikyan, Armenia will host Hungary on November 13 at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, and face Portugal away on November 16 at Porto’s Estádio do Dragão. Currently, Portugal tops the Group F table with 10 points, followed by Hungary with 5, Ireland with 4, and Armenia at the bottom with 3 points.
