Recount in Vagharshapat confirms vote tally unchanged![]() November 19, 2025 - 15:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The recount of ballots in Vagharshapat’s local self-government elections has been completed. According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), there were no changes in the number of votes cast for any political party after recounting six polling stations, Aysor.am reports. The only variation noted was a slight change in the number of invalid ballots. The recount was initiated at the request of the Republic Party, which challenged results from precinct commissions 14/15, 14/16, and 14/22. According to the Electoral Code, District Electoral Commission No. 14 also selected precincts 14/1, 14/8, and 14/22 by lottery for the recount process. Preliminary results showed that the Civil Contract party had received the most votes in Vagharshapat’s municipal council elections.
