Armenia, U.S. deepen talks on economic collaboration![]() November 19, 2025 - 16:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During his working visit to California, Armenia’s Ambassador to the U.S., Narek Mkrtchyan, met with John Shea, President and CEO of the World Trade Center Northern California, and Operations Director Tessa Carter. According to a statement by Armenia’s embassy in the U.S., the meeting focused on ways to deepen Armenian-American economic cooperation and explore prospects for launching new joint initiatives. Discussions included expanding import-export processes and understanding how Armenian businesses can enter and operate in the U.S. market. Both sides stressed the importance of developing programs to help Armenian companies strengthen their skills, improve marketing capabilities, and become more competitive globally. At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation. The meeting was also attended by Karen Israelyan, Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
