Mirzoyan, Wiseler emphasize upgrade of bilateral ties![]() December 17, 2025 - 14:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During his visit to Luxembourg, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Claude Wiseler, President of the Chamber of Deputies, expressing gratitude for the parliament's consistent support of Armenia. The two sides welcomed the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic partnership, achieved through sustained joint efforts. They referred to the joint declaration signed earlier that day, which outlines cooperation priorities and emphasizes interparliamentary collaboration. Mirzoyan and Wiseler also reaffirmed their commitment to implementing initiatives under the Armenia–EU strategic agenda. The meeting included detailed discussions on regional issues. Minister Mirzoyan briefed his counterpart on Armenia's ongoing efforts to normalize relations with neighboring countries. The parties exchanged views on opportunities for regional connectivity and addressed the need to tackle humanitarian concerns. Members of Luxembourg’s Foreign Affairs Committee also attended the meeting. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister Xavier Bettel earlier signed a joint declaration on strategic partnership between Armenia and Luxembourg. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
