Armenia engaged in EAEU industrial cooperation projects![]() December 17, 2025 - 17:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is actively participating in projects under the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) financial support mechanism for industrial cooperation, said Gohar Barseghyan, Member of the Board for Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Armenpress reports. According to Barseghyan, Armenia is involved in two of the 16 industrial cooperation projects, contributing as an engineering and construction partner. Armenian companies are taking part in developing high-tech manufacturing for railway components, including parts for high-speed trains. Additionally, they are helping build a facility in Tatarstan for producing elevator system components. “By 2026, total funding for industrial cooperation is expected to reach nearly 9 billion rubles. At the same time, the EEC continues to refine the selection and funding procedures for joint projects to ensure a clear and effective legal framework,” she said. Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk noted a decline in Armenia–Russia trade in 2025 and stated that Russian businesses are now more cautious in working with Armenia, despite overall good bilateral relations. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
