Bayramov, Fidan discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization![]() January 20, 2026 - 17:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 20, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone call to discuss the ongoing normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, APA reports, citing Anadolu Agency. The two also reviewed prospects for deeper bilateral cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as joint efforts in international organizations. The conversation included discussions on regional security, particularly in light of developments in the Middle East. They also touched upon the overall regional situation and bilateral relations between their countries. On August 8, during a trilateral summit at the White House with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, a joint Washington Declaration was signed. Following the summit, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in the presence of the three leaders, preliminarily signed the “Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.” The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
