13 more prosecuted in Vagharshapat vote-buying case![]() January 20, 2026 - 19:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Anti-Corruption Committee has launched public criminal prosecution against 13 additional individuals in connection with vote-buying during the November 16, 2025, local elections in Vagharshapat, according to 1lurer.am . These individuals are accused of accepting bribes in exchange for voting in favor of the Homeland party, and of aiding in the coordinated distribution of bribes during the city council elections. In total, 23 people have now been charged within the framework of this ongoing criminal case, the committee reported. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
