Pashinyan, Aliyev to attend Zayed event in Abu Dhabi

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will take part in the 2026 Sheikh Zayed Human Fraternity Award ceremony to be held on February 4 in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

The information was confirmed by Pashinyan’s spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, according to Radar Armenia.

Azerbaijani media have reported that President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, who is also a recipient of the award, will be present at the event.

Earlier, Pashinyan had received the Secretary-General of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, Mohamed Abdelsalam, in Yerevan, along with members of the award committee, former President of the European Council and former Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, and former Chairperson of the African Union Commission and former Prime Minister of Chad, Moussa Faki Mahamat.

The Zayed Award is named after the founding father and late leader of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It is granted to individuals or organizations, regardless of nationality, culture, or geography, for outstanding contributions to human fraternity and peaceful coexistence.
