Missing soldiers' families await response from Simonyan![]() February 9, 2026 - 16:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Parents and relatives of soldiers who went missing during the 44-day war gathered in the reception area of the National Assembly, awaiting a response to their petition addressed to Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan. Arsen Ghukasyan, the uncle of one of the missing servicemen, told Factor.am that back in December 2025, he wrote to Simonyan requesting information on the conclusions of the parliamentary inquiry commission that studied the circumstances of the war. He now wishes to read the report in hopes of finding answers to questions that have haunted him over the past five years. Ghukasyan’s brother was killed during the war, and his nephew has been missing since. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
