  Ezids' World National Union calls for extending amnesty to larger group of peopleJune 19, 2009 - 20:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During a joint press conference of national minority leaders, Ezids' World National Union President Aziz Tamoyan said he considered amnesty humane step. "As leader of the largest minority community in Armenia, I request Government and President to extend amnesty to a larger group of people." Armenia is facing political tension, and amnesty will help mitigate the situation, Tamoyan stressed, adding that people under investigation should also be included in amnesty list. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova.
