Baku thanks partners, including Armenia, for support

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has expressed gratitude to international partners for statements of support, letters and phone calls following Iranian drone strikes on the territory of Nakhichevan, 1lurer.am reports.

In a post accompanying the statement, an image included the flag of Armenia among those countries acknowledged.

“We highly appreciate the solidarity shown with Azerbaijan and the clear reaffirmation of support for our country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and the inviolability of its borders,” the statement said.

Baku also thanked all countries and international organizations that, according to the message, “stood by Azerbaijan during this period.”

The image attached to the statement also featured Armenia’s national flag.

Earlier it was reported that Iran carried out drone strikes on Nakhichevan Airport, while several other drones fell in nearby areas.

Later reports said one of the drones fell near a school. Iran’s ambassador to Baku, Mojtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry and handed a note of protest.
