According to Araghchi, Tehran insists that Washington and Tel Aviv must provide clear security guarantees. Earlier, Araghchi said that no significant proposals have yet been presented regarding the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East. At the same time, Iran welcomed any regional initiatives that could help end the war. Iranian law enforcement agencies have detained 20 people suspected of cooperating with Israeli intelligence services and engaging in espionage activities, the Tasnim news agency reported. According to the report, the suspected spies were detained in the city of Urmia. Authorities also dismantled several mercenary networks there that were allegedly linked to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). “These individuals cooperated with Israel, including by transferring information about the locations of military personnel, police officers and other security-related facilities,” the statement said. It added that investigations are currently underway against all 20 suspects. They will remain in custody until the investigative actions are completed in accordance with relevant court decisions.
