Kazakh foreign minister to visit Armenia![]() April 8, 2026 - 17:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yerzhan Koshерbayev will pay an official visit to Armenia on April 8–9. The delegation will also include Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry reported. On April 9, a one-on-one meeting between the foreign ministers is scheduled at Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, followed by talks in an expanded format. Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan is not holding negotiations to acquire the Russian concession for Armenia’s railways, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and the country’s transport ministry stated. Previously, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had said Armenia would not oppose Kazakhstan acquiring the Russian concession for its railways, provided Russia agrees. However, the Russian side later stated it has no intention of pursuing such a deal. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
