Armenia outlines strategy for AI-driven future![]() April 14, 2026 - 12:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, speaking at the TEDx forum titled “Vision of the Future,” addressed state policy in artificial intelligence and Armenia’s place on the global technology map. Hayrapetyan noted that the global economy has entered a new phase driven by the development of AI-based systems, where small states have an opportunity to gain a strategic advantage if they set the right priorities and effectively use available resources. In this context, the minister identified three key resources that will be decisive for small countries: energy capacity, high-performance computing infrastructure, and human capital. Hayrapetyan emphasized that Armenia’s success in the AI era depends on the simultaneous and consistent development of these three resources. In his view, with an effective strategy, Armenia can strengthen its position in the international technological landscape and emerge as a competitive player in the evolving economic system.
