Information Security Concept to be signed in Armenia within next few days

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Information Security Concept of the Republic of Armenia developed in compliance with the President's edict will be signed within the next few days.

"Adoption of the Concert will underlie the information policy regulation. Realizing its importance, the President decreed to develop the Concept within the shortest terms," Ara Saghatelyan, head of the public relations and information center at the RA President's office, told a news conference in Yerevan today.

"The document is a description of the current information security system, external and internal threats and mechanisms for their neutralization," he said. "It's not a political document but the demand of our everyday life and work."

Mr. Saghatelyan said Armenia will have a firm information security system within several months.

"Presently, the information security system in Armenia, like in other post soviet countries except for Kazakhstan and Russia is still being shaped," he said.
