Bright Armenia files application for elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Bright Armenia party has submitted its application to the Central Electoral Commission, confirming its participation in the upcoming electoral process.

As in previous years, Davit Khazhakyan will represent the party at the commission, although he is not included in the electoral list, Pastinfo reported.

Commenting on his role, Khazhakyan said that as one of the party’s key figures, he does not see becoming a member of parliament as a necessary condition. According to him, the field of municipal management is closer to his interests, and had political considerations differed in 2021, he would have continued his work within the city council.

“Even now, it is not necessary that everyone in the party aspire to parliamentary status. There is a division of roles. I have an area that is important and close to me, and if others are elected, they will represent us in parliament,” he said.

He also addressed the party’s electoral prospects, noting that the final assessment will be made by citizens, taking into account the work carried out so far.

“Up to now, unlike many forces, the Bright Armenia party has been very actively involved in public political life. Most importantly, over the past five years, we have not had widespread power outages,” he said.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
