Hayastan bloc seeks opposition majority

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Hayastan alliance has submitted the required documents to the Central Electoral Commission to participate in the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.

The electoral list includes 213 candidates, of whom 72 are women and 141 are men.

After submitting the list, alliance representative Artsvik Minasyan said their participation is driven by expectations of victory, Panorama.am reports.

“We intend, through consolidation of the opposition field, to achieve a majority, and society instills this confidence in us. Our engagements, our activities, and our work with people give us confidence that these elections will bring a change of power, and the opposition field, with this objective, should move toward cooperation in the post-election period,” Minasyan said.

He stressed that they are entering the race convinced they will receive significant public support.

“If that is not achieved, then broad cooperation within the opposition field should be formed that will prevent these authorities from reproducing themselves. Even if there is criticism, we can treat it with respect, but in no way close the path to cooperation in order to remove these authorities,” he added.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
