Russia invites allied leaders to May 9 parade

PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow has invited the leaders of all friendly countries to participate in the May 9 Victory Day parade, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin told reporters during the event held at Victory Park in Yerevan.

Kopyrkin added that he had no information on whether Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had accepted the invitation, according to Sputnik Armenia.

Factor.am reported that Pashinyan is not expected to attend the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9, as he is set to begin vacation on May 8 in order to take part in the election campaign.

Earlier, in 2024, commenting on participation in the Moscow parade, Pashinyan said he could not recall a case when any Armenian leader attended the event every year.

In 2025, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the jubilee parade in Moscow marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day.
