The sides also addressed investment opportunities in the sector and potential cooperation with American companies. They highlighted the strategic importance of critical minerals in global supply chains and stressed the need for continued development of cooperation in the field. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed in Washington a document on joint Armenia-U.S. work within the framework of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity initiative, known as TRIPP. The published document on the implementation of TRIPP describes the operational framework for launching the initiative. The framework does not create and is not intended to create legal commitments or obligations for either Armenia or the United States. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
