Mkhitaryan urges voters to cast ballots![]() June 7, 2026 - 12:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Armenia national team captain and Italian champion Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has called on citizens to participate in Armenia’s parliamentary elections. He made the appeal in a post on his Facebook page. “As a citizen of Armenia, I am obliged to participate in the election on June 7. Make your choice,” the post said. Regular elections to Armenia’s National Assembly have begun. All 2,005 polling stations across the country opened at 8:00 a.m. The voter register includes 2,485,851 eligible voters. Polling stations will remain open until 8:00 p.m. A total of 18 political forces are participating in the parliamentary elections: two party alliances and 16 individual parties. The electoral threshold is 4% for parties and 8% for alliances. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
