More Russians seek homes in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian nationals have been searching for housing in Armenia more frequently in recent months, while rental prices in Yerevan have increased. The information was reported by Verstka, citing local real estate agents.

According to realtors, they have observed "enormous demand" for apartments from Russian citizens, with the majority preferring to relocate to Yerevan, Meduza reported.

In their assessment, the current situation resembles that of 2022. They also said rental prices in Yerevan have risen by about 30% over the past three months.

The publication also noted that one of the Telegram channels popular among Russians searching for real estate publishes dozens of new posts every day from people who have already arrived in Armenia or are planning to emigrate there this autumn.

According to Yandex Wordstat data, during the week of July 13–19, the number of searches for "apartments in Yerevan" reached 5,200. For comparison, the publication notes that during the week of February 28 to March 6, 2022, the number of such searches totaled 5,000. The highest level was recorded during the partial military mobilization announced in September 2022, when searches climbed to nearly 10,000.
