Delegation headed by RA Defense minister to take part in CSTO exercises

PanARMENIAN.Net - The second phase of the joint integrated exercises of the Collective Security Treaty will be held from September 26 to 29 in Belarus in the framework of strategic exercises of the "West 2009" Russian and Belarusian armed forces.



RA Ministry of Defense does not plan participation of the armed forces of Armenia in the exercises, but the Task Force the RA armed forces, consisting of four persons headed by Colonel G. Tavaratyan will participate in the exercises, spokesman of the defense minister Colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.



At the same time, at the invitation of the Defense minister of Belarus Colonel-General Leonid Maltsev Armenian delegation of the RA Defense ministry, headed by the minister Seyran Ohanyan will take part in the active phase of the exercises on September 29.
