NKR Foreign Ministry: Karabakh's name is not included in ProtocolsSeptember 24, 2009 - 20:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - "I am not aware that those Protocols have already been signed. Let's be more precise: parties have preliminarily agreed to submit documents to their Parliaments within 6 weeks. If such information is incorrect, you are welcome to make your objections. We closely follow the process because the country we live in is seriously obliged to keep track of current developments. But we are unlikely to intervene in the Armenian authorities and citizens' decision-making processes. We hold a firm stance: we never did and will intervene in Armenia's domestic affairs even though we are concerned by certain all-national issues related to Armenian-Turkish rapprochement," NKR Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan said in an interview to Turkish NTV channel. According to him, any discussions on Armenian-Turkish relations and recent Protocols focus on Karabakh even though the country is not involved in the processes. "We'd like to see such attitude by Turkey and Turkish officials who persist in their statements that no progress is possible without the settlement of Karabakh conflict. We'd like the two issues to be viewed separately," Petrosyan stressed. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
