Jirair Sefilian: Diaspora should create a government and parliament in exile

PanARMENIAN.Net - "The Diaspora is suffering the same disease that Armenia," » Jirair Sefilian , leader of the Miatsum national initiative told a press conference in Yerevan today.



According to him, the Diaspora have good people, but "sick" leaders. According ti him, since 1991 the Armenian people has had idee fixe: Armenia separately, Diaspora separately. In his view, it is time to get rid of this idea and unite. 



As Mr. Sefilian mentioned, every Armenian, regardless of where he is, has the right to worry for their country and express their opinion, if there is a threat to national security. "The reaction of the Diaspora to the Armenian-Turkish Protocols is quite natural," Jirair Sefilian stressed. 



"I believe the Armenia should be called Armenian state of Eastern Armenia, and concurrently representatives of the Armenian Diaspora should create an Armenian State of Western Armenia with their government and parliament in exile," Mr. Sefilian said. According to him, it necessary to create a Pan-Armenian council, to deal with strategic issues of the country.
