PanARMENIAN.Net - Special meeting of Armenia's parliament for the issues regarding amendments in telecommunication law did not take place. 44 deputies were present at the meeting, at that, the quorum is 66. It should be reminded that earlier deputy Arshak Sadoian had gathered the necessary number of signatures for calling of the special meeting. The bill of amendments in the law introduced by him suggests the prohibition of introduction of minute payment for city calls. In fact consideration of this issue failed because of the absentees, parliamentarians representing Republican Party faction and Dashnaktutyun Party. It should be reminded that according to justice minister David Arutyunian, if the minute payment is prohibited, the telecommunication monopolist, «Armentel» Company might go to the international arbitration and file an action against Armenia's government.
