The PACE Armenian delegation head Hovanes Hovannisyan stated this today. The official position of Armenia, according to him, adds up to that Yerevan is interested in the establishment of democracy in Azerbaijan. It is possible to negotiate only with civilized and democratic state. The Armenian delegation representative Armen Rustamyan had a speech in the same spirit at the meeting of the PACE session. According to Hovanes Hovannesian, there is a basis to think that Azerbaijan will be deprived of the PACE mandate if it does not meet the undertaken obligations until April 2002.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
