Azerbaijani Social Democratic party delegation arriving in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Social International is a global structure, including parliamentarians, politicians, public figures, SI Secretary General Luis Ayala stated.

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, European Parliament member Evgeni Kirilov’s report on the South Caucasus, as well as European Parliament’s report-based resolution is merely a private opinion of the parliamentarian. “Kirilov is a socialist faction member. However, our opinion differs from that expressed by him,” Ayala said.

The SI Secretary General emphasized that Karabakh conflict, like any other, should be resolved through peaceful negotiations, leading to a mutually acceptable solution.

“I’ve been to Armenia, Azerbaijan and NKR lots of times, so I’m aware of the situation,” he noted, bringing the resolution of territorial dispute between Chili and Argentina an example of a peaceful conflict settlement.

The SI Secretary General also informed that a delegation of the Azerbaijani Social Democratic party will participate in SI conference to be held in Yerevan on June 11.
