CSTO not planning to dispatch military to Kyrgyzstan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Collective Security Treaty Organization intends to render humanitarian and political assistance to Kyrgyzstan, director of CSTO Yerevan Office Nerses Torosyan said during a news conference on June 17.

Asked by a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter whether the Organization intends to supply Kyrgyzstan with weapons, he said there is no information of the kind.

Mr. Torosyan did not rule out escalation of the situation, but said military forces will not be dispatched to Kyrgyzstan either from Armenia or any other CSTO member country.

He also said that Armenia can send some humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan.
