THE QUESTION OF ARMENIA'S JOINING RUSSIA-BYELORUSSIA UNION IS NOT DISCUSSED

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's President has met with the group of leaders and representatives of the Russian press that arrived in Yerevan for participation in the celebrations of 1700 anniversary of Christianity adoption by Armenia. Answering the questions of Russian journalists, Robert Kocharyan has again confirmed that the question of Armenia's joining Russia-Byelorussia union was not a question for discussion. "We welcome Russia-Byelorussia union, the creation of which was based on mutual interests. We do not have such an interest", has stated the President. At the same time Armenia's head has noted that does not prevent the development of Russian-Armenian relations and this is confirmed by the recent official visit of Russia's President Vladimir Putin to Yerevan.
