0.8% deflation recorded in consumer market of Armenia in June 2010![]() June 30, 2010 - 15:27 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The RA National Statistical Service reported that 0.8% deflation was recorded in consumer market of Armenia in June as compared with May 2010. The prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) decreased by 1.2%, while for non-foods - by 0.9%. Besides, 0.1% growth was recorded in tariffs for services during the reporting period. The index of consumer prices made 105.8% in April 2010 as compared with the same period of last year, also for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) - 104.9%, non-foods - 108.3%, services - 106.2%; while the index of consumer prices in January-June 2010 made 107.3%, 105.1%, 113.4% and 108.5% respectively as compared with the same period of 2009. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
