  RA NA Speaker intends to hold meeting of parliamentarians and officials of Armenian Diaspora July 6, 2010 - 19:26 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - On July 6, Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan met with Glandale Mayor Ara Najarian. During the meeting, Mr. Abrahamyan said that he intends to hold a meeting in Armenia of parliamentarians and officials of the Armenian Diaspora, what will allow them to visit the Fatherland and establish ties with each other. Najarian supported the initiative, expressing readiness to participate in the meeting. Abrahamyan attached importance to visits of Diaspora representatives to Armenia, saying that it also contributes to preservation of the Armenian identity and strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora ties. The two men expressed willingness to establish relations and cooperation between Armenia and cities of California, the RA NA press service reported. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
