Zdzislaw Raczynski: Poland supports neither of three countries in Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - Poland, which initiated the Eastern Partnership, wants to make east-oriented policy a priority for the EU, Polish Ambassador to Armenia said.

“Polish-Armenian relations tend to develop. However, the turnover doesn’t exceed $30 million,” Zdzislaw Raczynski said, adding that he intends to attract Polish investors to the Armenian market and vice versa.

Commenting on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, he said Poland supports the EU’s position basing on three principles of the international law: right of nations to self-determination, territorial integrity and non-use of force.

“Poland’s position is neutral. It supports neither of three countries involved in the conflict. This is an issue concerning the Karabakh community, Armenian and Azerbaijani sides,” the Ambassador said.

Asked about Poland’s opinion regarding extension of Russian military base deployment in Armenia, Ambassador Raczynski said it’s internal affair of Armenia.
