Armenian customs officers to be trained in Ukraine

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Ukrainian State Customs Service Igor Kaletnik said that majority of Armenia-bound goods are delivered in transit through Ukraine, then via ferry from Ilyichevsk to Poti and then to Armenia.

“Another ferry service is scheduled to be opened in Kerch, what will allow considerably increasing the traffic of Armenia-bound goods,” Kaletnik told a press conference after the 52nd sitting of CIS customs services officials in Yerevan.

According to him, currently the trade turnover between Armenia and Ukraine totals $145mln.

Igor Kaletnik added that an agreement was reached on training of Armenian customs officers in Ukraine in the near future.
