Yerevan to host conference: Tolstoy - Russian and National LiteraturesNovember 2, 2010 - 19:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ArmenTel CJSC will assist organization of an international theoretical and practical conference, entitled: “Tolstoy - Russian and National Literatures.” The event is organized by the Armenian Society for Cultural Cooperation with Foreign Countries NGO, Russian-Armenian friendship society and Yerevan Humanitarian Institute. The conference due November 13-14, 2010, is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Russian writer’s death. The event will bring together scientists-experts in literature from leading Armenian, Russian and Georgian higher education institutions, the press service of ArmenTel CJSC reported. Earlier, the company sponsored similar conferences dedicated to works of Nikolai Gogol and Anton Chekhov. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out. The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest. She called on others to also suspend their accounts over the companies’ failure to tackle hate speech.
