Ban Ki-moon calls for withdrawal of snipers from Karabakh conflict zone![]() December 1, 2010 - 13:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has again called for the withdrawal of snipers from the line of contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces. In an interview with RFE/RL, Ban also urged both sides to "refrain from any provocative actions" in the area. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
