Yerevan hosts Research in Germany information seminarDecember 14, 2010 - 15:52 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 14, Yerevan hosted Research in Germany information seminar organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) jointly with German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The seminar aims at increasing the awareness of program applicants about the possibilities of conducting scientific research in Germany. As German Ambassador to Armenia Hans-Jochen Schmidt stated at the seminar, expansion of DAAD service in Armenia will help establish new connections between Armenian and German research institutes. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is a publicly-funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. 14 international offices provide information as well as financial support to over 57,000 highly-qualified students and faculty per year for international research and study. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
