Kotcharian and Robertson discussed the problems of regional cooperation and security

PanARMENIAN.Net - . The president Robert Kotcharian and the Secretary General of NATO George Robertson discussed the problems of regional cooperation and security on Wednesday in Brussels. The president of Armenia make acquainted the Secretary General of NATO with the overall results of latest meeting of the CIS Collective Security Council. "Despite the fact that NATO is not engaged in the problem of regulation of Nagorno Kharabakh conflict directly, the solution of this problem one of the important task, and the stability in South Caucasus depends on this solution," - mentioned George Robertson during press conference after meeting. The Secretary General expressed the hope that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will find that kind of solution which will be convenient to both sides. "Armenia is one of the worthy partner of NATO and one of the valuable part of "Partnership for Peace" NATO program." He also said that NATO is ready for expansion the frame of cooperation above-named program. In his turn Kotcharian mentioned that Armenia also ready for more close cooperation with NATO.
