Armenian chess team to participate in World Team Championship in China

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian national chess team will participate in the 8th World Team Championship due July 26-27, 2011, in Ningbo, China.

The World Championship will bring together 10 teams, including Russia (the current champion), Ukraine, Israel, Armenia, Hungary, Azerbaijan and China (the host country), as well as winners of continental championships of America, Asia and Africa.

Armenia has participated in the World Team Championships since 1993 and won bronze in 1997, 2001 and 2005, armchess.am reported.
