  Hrayr Tovmasyan: there is no term “political prisoner” from legal perspective January 17, 2011 - 17:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Newly appointed Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan said he will do his utmost to prevent repetition of the post-election events that took place on March 1-2, 2008, in Armenia. Asked whether representatives of the Armenian opposition, who have been imprisoned for organization of riots in Yerevan on March 1-2, are political prisoners, Tovmasyan told a press conference in Yerevan: “There is no term “political prisoner” from a legal perspective. The concept “political prisoner” is rather related to the political terminology.”   Top stories Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
