People should get rid of cancer phobia to decrease number of oncological diseases

PanARMENIAN.Net - People should get rid of cancer phobia to decrease the number of oncological diseases, according to a research carried out by a group of scientists from City University of Chicago.

“Cancer phobia tops the list of other phobias of disease,” commented expert Yuri Khalinsky on occasion of World Cancer Day marked on February 4.

Union for International Cancer Control says that 40 per cent of oncological diseases can be prevented. Meanwhile, the WHO informs that 20 out of 100 who died of cancer were smokers.
