Monument to Armenian Genocide to be set in Geneva![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 5, Armenian Ambassador to Switzerland Charles Aznavour participated in a meeting of the working group dealing with setting of a monument to the Armenian Genocide victims. The working group comprises representatives of the city mayor’s office, Geneva Foundation of Modern Arts, Armenian community of the city and Armenian embassy in Switzerland. The project, which won the international contest for the monument design selection, was discussed during the meeting. Melik Ohanyan is the author of the project. Aznavour praised the willingness of Geneva municipal authorities to set the monument. The official unveiling of the monument is scheduled for April 24, 20-12, in a central park of Geneva, the RA MFA press service reported. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit.
