ANC welcomes Egyptian opposition’s victory![]() February 12, 2011 - 11:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc welcomes the victory of the Egyptian people, ANC said is a statement. “Egyptian people still have to do much for the final victory and we wish them successful resolution of all problems and election of worthy leaders, who will clear the Augean stables,” it said. Hosni Mubarak has stepped down as president of Egypt, after weeks of protest in Cairo and other cities. The news was greeted with a huge outburst of joy and celebration by thousands in Cairo's Tahrir Square. Announcing Mubarak's resignation, Vice-President Omar Suleiman said the president had handed power to the army. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
