Azerbaijani organizations of U.S. fail to prevent discussion on Karabakh problem in Washington![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 17, George Mason University's Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution in Washington will host a discussion on Nagorno Karabakh. The event will be dedicated to the history of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, reasons of the conflict with Azerbaijan, the current stage of negotiations, as well as prospects for positive peace, the NKR Permanent Representation to the U.S. reported. The Azerbaijani embassy in the U.S. jointly with the Azerbaijani organizations of the U.S tried to prevent organization of the event through exerting pressure on the Institute management. “Though they managed to mislead American scientists for some time, the NKR Permanent Representation submitted the required documents to the Institute management, after which the problem was resolved,” the NKR Permanent Representation to the U.S. said. NKR Permanent Representative to Washington, Ambassador Robert Avetisyan will deliver a speech at the event. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
