Armenians hold rally at Azerbaijani embassy in Hague to commemorate Sumgait massacre![]() March 1, 2011 - 11:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 28, the Armenian organizations of the Netherlands initiated an action to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of Sumgait massacre. The participants expressed their solidarity with NKR people. They urged the government of the Netherlands and international community to cooperate in peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict and support Artsakh people’s right for self determination. The rally was launched in front of the International Court of Justice. Further, the demonstrators marched to the Azerbaijani embassy where they demanded peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict and cessation of Azerbaijan’s aggression against the Armenian people. On March 1, the Armenian organizations of the Netherlands intend to pass a statement of their demands to the permanent committee for foreign affairs at the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
