Armenian Organizations of France urge French authorities to support ArtsakhMarch 1, 2011 - 11:59 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 27, Armenian Churches in France hosted liturgies to commemorate innocent victims of 1988 Sumgait massacre. In the evening of February 28, the 9th municipality of Paris hosted a rally of the coordinating council of the Armenian Organizations of France. The rally was timed to 23rd anniversary of Sumgait massacre and held under the motto “In Support of Nagorno Karabakh Republic”. A documentary on Armenian massacres, including articles featured in foreign media, was screened during the event. In conclusion, rally participants issued a joint statement, urging French authorities to support Armenians in a struggle for international recognition of Karabakh. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
