Armenian opposition urges rally participants to avoid clashes with police![]() March 1, 2011 - 18:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The coordinator of Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan urged supporters of the opposition and rally participants to avoid provocation and stay away from clashes with police officers, a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the ground. As ANC coordinator said, opposition supporters agreed with police officers on preservation of public order nearby Matenadaran, as well as Koryun-Mashtots street section. At the moment, ANC rally is going on in front of Matenadaran, the museum of ancient manuscripts. Additional police forces were stationed at the rally site. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
